MARION, IL -- The Traverse City Beach Bums (0-1) fought back from a 4-0 deficit but ultimately fell to the Southern Illinois Miners (1-0) by a final score of 7-5.
After a scoreless first two innings, Southern Illinois got the offense started in the 3rd when, with 1 out, Craig Massey and Julius Gaines hit back to back singles.
