Traverse City Beach Bums proud to announce that second baseman, Steven
Patterson, has been named the Frontier League Player of the
In six games against the Florence Freedom and Southern Illinois Miners, Steven had a .455 batting average, with three home runs, two doubles, a triple, seven runs batted in, and six runs scored, helping the Beach Bums to a 4-2 record this week. Overall, Stockton, CA native is hitting .333 with a league-leading five homers, and is tied for fourth in runs batted in with fifteen. He is currently riding a seven game hitting streak. Patterson is the first Traverse City player to receive a weekly honor in the 2017 season.
Beach Bums are back in action, this Tuesday night, against the Schaumburg
Boomers. In a battle of southpaws, Lars Ligouri gets the ball for Schaumburg and
the Beach Bums counter with John Havird. First pitch at Wuerfel Park is at
7:05pm and Tom Willms will have the call starting at 6:45pm with the Budweiser
pre-game show, on 101.9- The Bay.
Tuesday is Thrifty Tuesday and at Wuerfel Park. Eat for cheap as we feature a
five dollar meal deal, while the Beach Bums host the Schaumburg Boomers. The
gates open at 6pm for a 7:05pm first pitch.
