DYLAN STOOPS NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK
SAUGET IL – The Frontier League has announced that Traverse City Beach Bums’ starting pitcher, Dylan Stoops, is this week’s Pitcher of the Week.
The Pennsylvania native had a stellar week on the
mound, starting on Tuesday with a complete game victory over the Windy City
Thunderbolts. He allowed just one run while spreading out seven hits, walking
none, and he struck out ten. In his second start of the week, Stoops hurled his
second straight complete game and third of the season, which is tied for second
in the league. In game two of Sunday’s doubleheader against the
Joliet Slammers, he only gave up three hits and one walk, with only one unearned
run coming in to score. At one point, he retired fourteen Slammers hitters in a
row, and he only needed 68 pitches to complete the six strikeout performance.
Overall this season, Dylan has nine wins, which is tied for first in the league,
and has a league seventh best earned run average of
