WUERFEL PARK The Traverse City Beach Bums lead the Frontier League standings and are also tops in All-Star representatives the league announced Monday. Six players, and the coaching staff, will represent the Beach Bums on the East Division team at the 2015 Frontier League All-Star Game July 15th in Schaumburg, IL
Tuesday, July 7th is Mommy and Me Night at Wuerfel Park. Mom's, get your kids out of the house and out to the ballpark as we have buy 1 get 1 free tickets, and will have moms vs. kids contests all game long! It's the first game in a 3 game series against Southern Illinois with first pitch set for 7:05pm.
Wednesday, July 8th is Salute to Cherries Night! Traverse City is the Cherry Capital of the World and we will have the Cherry Queen and her court out for the game. You will be able to meet them, take pictures, and learn more about how Traverse City has become so well known for cherries!
The Traverse City Beach Bums will welcome the Tropic Beauty models to Wuerfel Park on Thursday, July 9th. They will be throwing the first pitch and taking pictures and signing autographs with fans throughout the night. It's also a buy 1 get 1 free ticket night!
WUERFEL PARK Sam Bumpers and Brandon Jacobs each had three hits but it wasn’t enough as the Traverse City Beach Bums lost 8-1 to the Rockford Aviators Sunday evening. The Beach Bums matched their season-high for hits with 13 but couldn’t translate them into runs and Rockford took the rubber match in the three-game series pitting the Frontier League’s two division leaders.
